My passion for the water started as a young child, spending summers on the Chesapeake Bay. Growing up we spent many weekends crabbing, fishing and water skiing on the Patuxent River. 

By my late teens, I was introduced to marina life. I spent many weekends in the marina on Kent Island, MD. This is where my dream of owning a sportfish began.

In my mid 20’s I moved to Bradenton FL and met my wife. Shortly after, we purchased Kingfisher, our sportfish. We kept it in Riviera Dunes Marina on the Manatee River. Together, we rebuilt the entire boat, including motors, prior to cruising it all over Florida. We spent nearly every weekend on the boat for 3 years. It was very common for us to head out on a Friday for Boca Grande, our favorite vacation spot, only to turn around and come home on Sunday. 

During the time we had our personal boat in the marina,  I gained the vast majority of my experience. I was known as the “go to guy.”  Everyone knew my ability to handle any boat. We lived local and were commonly asked to pick up or drop off slip mate’s boats from both local and long-distance locations. Our slip mate’s knew that I would review the work completed prior to letting the boat splash and alert the owner if there were any challenges.

Currently, we live on the water near the Sunshine Skyway bridge. We still continue to use the water as our preferred method of travel. One of our most recent journeys was completing the Florida Mini-Loop. 

Putting my 30 plus years of experience operating all types of boats up to and over 50 feet  will ensure your vessel is handled in a safe and responsible manner. I will treat your boat as if it were my own!
